Rain Lõhmus

Rain, one of the founders of Livonia Partners, has long been a key contributor to the development of banking, investment and entrepreneurship in the Baltics. In 1991 he helped found Hansabank, which grew into the largest pan-Baltic financial institution and in 1998 was bought by Swedbank. In 1999 he established New Economy Ventures, which invested in and successfully exited from 7 technology companies, returning more than 8 times investors’ money. Also in 1999 he co-founded LHV Group, a Baltic banking group which held an IPO on the Nasdaq Tallinn Exchange in 2016 and where he remains in a supervisory role. LHV Capital, which Rain established together with Mindaugas Utkevičius, invested among others in Archyvu Centras (later sold to Iron Mountain), Qvalitas Medical Centre (sold to BaltCap), and Baltic Ticket Holdings (sold to Kassir.Ru).

Rain serves on the boards of numerous organisations.
